Alphabet Stories - touch and feel cloth book....

  1. Also as part of my MA & currently on display at UCLAN...
Digitially printed cloth books on 100% cotton drill, and padded with 100% polyester foam. Blurring the boundaries between books and toys these cushion-like objects can be thrown around, sat upon, dribbled upon; then thrown in the washing machine to come up like new!

'Alphabet stories' encourages narratives to develop between reader and listener as scenarios are set through groups of letters. A balloon moves around the page to be repositioned on a choice of velcro flowers, a fabric door opens to reveal a friendly elephant. Interaction and play are stimulated through the movable objects and varied textures used to applique different characters and objects within the book.
